एमालेभित्र माधव नेपाल पक्षका दरिलो नेता शाक्यले दल विभाजनको अन्तिम समयमा नेपालको साथ छोडेकी हुन् । त्यसपछि बुधबार दिउँसो बसेको एमाले बागमती प्रदेश संसदीय दलको बैठकमा दलको नेताबाट मुख्यमन्त्री डोरमणि पौडेलले राजीनामा दिए । पौडेलको राजीनामापछि शाक्यलाई सर्वसम्मत दलको नेता चयन गरियो । बुधबारै पौडेलले मुख्यमन्त्री पदबाट राजीनामा दिए । उनको राजीनामापछि शाक्य मुख्यमन्त्री बनेकी छन् ।
